This Week's Denison Farm CSA Share

Dear CSA Members,

Every season I count my blessing with respect to the crew that farms with us! Each and every one of these awesome people bring such joy, professionalism, skill and talent, and a work ethic that is truly admirable. They work through what Mother Nature throws at us – whether it be blistering sun, freezing ice pellets, drought, mud, and if we are lucky, a beautiful day!

Such heart-felt Gratitude I have! In the photo, you see Jason, Joel, Jeannine, Walter, Brian, Kate, Tyrone, Errol, and nearly hidden in the back, Sarah and Zee. On the right, crouched down, is Dan with our puppy Fiona. Marlon, Alyssa, and Andrea were unfortunatley not present when this photo was taken. Brian and I may be at the helm, but these are the people who carry the load to plant, weed, and bring you the harvest. They all arrive ready each day to work and are more than willing to maintain high standards whether it be treating one another with respect and kindness or bunching kale, with care and consistency. So much thought and intelligence must pour into the work they each do. No task is easy or quick, and all tasks require careful procedure and decision-making. Finally, a farm crew is a family and a team. I am filled with Admiration and Gratitude for their work, their team effort, and for who they each are as individuals. Brian and I are very, very fortunate farmers!

Just a Few Notes:

• Remember to take a photo of the list to bring home with you for when you unpack your weekly share!
• Please take one box from the top of one of the stacks and check your name off on the sign-in clipboard. The boxes (eggs and fruit as well) will all be the same and will not be labeled.
• Egg and fruit shares are only for those that purchased those shares with their order.
• The fruit share will begin later in the season, and those members will get an email with updates at that time.
• Please visit Facebook/Instagram and our website for updates.
• Please have a neighbor or friend pick up your share if you cannot.
• Please be responsible for your payments/installments.
• Please return and flatten the boxes and leave in a neat pile from week to week.
• Sparkling Meadow egg cartons can be returned each week.
• Please add our email address to your contact list and check your spam/junk/promotions email folders for CSA newsletters and updates.
